 | In October 2005 I visited Rapala, a village in rural Andhra Pradesh near Vijiawada. This hut on the left, a palm roof with no walls, was just big enough for the speakers (JesPaul, Suresh, and myself) with the church sitting on tarps on either the stone platform or the ground in front (the ground was soft and moist from rain). In October of 2007 I received news from Suresh that a church has been built on this site (right). |  |

| Many villages I visited need small church buildings. The land is often given by a family. The cost of the building itself is only about $3000 US.
